Terms, Privacy & Refunds

1. Using Echo Forte
These terms cover your use of Echo Forte services: the website at echoforte.com, the mastering application under /app, and any human-delivered services (mixing, mastering, production, songwriting, AI finishing, ghost production). By uploading a file or purchasing a service you agree to these terms.
2. Your music stays yours
You retain full ownership of the audio you upload and the master we deliver back to you. We do not claim ownership of your music. You grant Echo Forte a limited, non-transferable licence to analyse, process, store and deliver your files solely to provide the services you’ve paid for.
By uploading audio you confirm you own or control the rights to it. If you can’t clear that, don’t upload it. It saves everyone a fight later.
3. File handling and privacy
We collect the information needed to run the service: contact details, order details, upload metadata, audio files, analysis artifacts, previews and final outputs. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.
We use this information to deliver your order, provide support, operate the platform and meet legal or accounting obligations. We never sell your data, and we do not use your audio to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in.
4. Retention
Guest uploads are deleted 72 hours after upload unless converted to an account or paid flow. Free previews are retained for 7 days. Paid masters have a 30-day redownload window. Analysis artifacts may be retained for up to 30 days after the source file is deleted, unless a valid deletion request requires earlier removal.
You can request export or deletion of your account and data by emailing support@echoforte.com. Some records may be retained where required for legal, payment or accounting reasons.
5. Service limits
You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, or intended to exploit our processing systems. You must not upload audio that you don’t have rights to. We reserve the right to refuse, remove or terminate service for any violation.
6. Deliverables
Each paid service has a stated deliverable. See the relevant service page or your order summary. Automated mastering delivers 24-bit WAV, 16-bit WAV, 320 kbps MP3 and a mastering report; productised mixing delivers mixed stereo files and (for the bundle) a mastered output with report; premium services are scoped per project.
7. Refunds and credits
We do not mark a paid output as complete until it passes post-render verification. Refunds or credits are automatic where payment is taken but a render cannot be recovered, a duplicate charge occurs, an output is corrupted, or a verified master cannot be delivered.
Automated mastering includes preset previews before payment. Once you choose and pay for a final master, that selected preset is the delivered result. Clear technical delivery issues can still be reviewed for credit, rerender or refund.
8. Creative outcomes and liability
We aim to deliver professional work that meets the spec of the service you purchased. We do not warrant specific creative or commercial outcomes such as chart placement, stream counts or label interest. Mastering can improve suitable mixes; it cannot repair every source problem.
Our aggregate liability for any service is capped at the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for lost profits, business interruption, or consequential damages.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The version in force at the time you place an order is the one that governs that order.
